Tag: What’s Your Makeup Style?

Hey guys! I thought I'd start off by doing a tag! :-) Let's get started!

  1. EEK! You’ve got five minutes to do your makeup for a date. What’s your minimum? If I had just 5 minutes to get ready, I would apply a quick coat of mascara, and a pretty pink blush.
  2. Pick a trend—crazy cat eyeliner, super hot pink blush, or feathered false lashes? I honestly don't really like any of these, but if I just HAD to choose one, I would go with crazy cat eyeliner.
  3. If you had to either give up all makeup for two months or give up your skincare for a week, which would you pick? I would definitely give up makeup for two months, because my skin is very important to me. I think that makeup just enhances your natural beauty, and if I gave up my skincare routine for one week, my skin would just act all funky!
  4. What beauty products are always in your purse? I always keep a few lip balms and a hand lotion in my purse!
  5. Are there any beauty products that you keep coming back to throughout the years? Since I bought my first makeup product last summer (July), it hasn't even been 1 year that I've been in contact with makeup. However, my favorite product of all time has to be my Maybelline Fit Me concealer. HOLY GRAIL PRODUCT!!!
  6. Smoky eyes or red lips? I have honestly tried neither, but I do like the look of smoky eyes!
  7. Lipstick or lipgloss? Definitely lip gloss! I really dislike how lipstick feels on my lips.
  8. Are there any products that you never expected to like but ended up loving? I actually never expected to like eyeshadows!
Leave your answers to this tag in the comments below!

Hi everyone! After a 2 month long break from blogging, I'M BACK! :-D I will be posting some more reviews soon because I have purchased more  makeup products, and I will also be doing tags as well as some fashion posts. Hope you guys enjoy them! <3

Revlon Haul!

Hey guys! Today I have a haul of two items that I just picked up from Walgreens :-)
Here is the first thing I got :

This blush, Flushed, is from the new Revlon 2012 Summer Collection called Escapism. This collection contains nail polishes, lip glosses, an eyeshadow palette, 3 cream blushes, a bronzer, and a highlighting stick. I chose this blush out of the 3 because I really wanted a pink blush with no shimmer. The consistency of this is VERY creamy (well duh! haha). Don't let the intensity of the bright pink in the container scare you from purchasing this, because it goes on fairly light. The swatch above took 3 swipes, just so I could show you the actual color.
I definitely think you should go out and try one of these blushes! I took advantage of the BOGO 50% off sale at Walgreens, and also used a $2.00 off coupon that you can find on the Walgreens website, as well as on the CVS website. (note: this is a manufacturers coupon)

Here is the second item I picked up :

This is the Not Just Nudes Illuminance Creme Shadow quad. I picked this up because my friend absolutely LOVES this palette and uses this every single day for school. I think this is such a gorgeous neutral palette, and it contains 2 matte shades and 2 slightly shimmery shades.

I hope you enjoyed this drugstore haul! My next post will be a review on 5 of the Milani Baked Blushes so be on the lookout for that! Thanks for reading!

Blush and Bronzers!

Hey guys! So after writing the post below, I got into the blogging mood :-P
I wanted to show you some swatches on the Physicians Formula blush and bronzer that I picked up a few months ago, as well as the Estee Lauder bronzer that I received from my friend.

P.F. Blush in Soft Ginger/Bronzer in Light Bronzer :

Still getting the hang of swatching and all that (I'm a newbie ;-P)
I do think this is a fairly good blush, but I wouldn't repurchase because I'm sure there are many other blushes that are better quality (this is discontinued). However, for the price I payed, I am beyond impressed as I really disliked the first blush I ever purchased (Maybelline Fit Me blush in Light Pink).
The blush contains the slightest amount of shimmer while the bronzer is completely matte which I ABSOLUTELY love!

E.L. Soft Matte Bronzer in Bronze Goddess :

This bronzer would really give you a beautiful, sun kissed glow in the summer time. However, this color is too dark for me to wear as of now, since my face is still super pale from winter (thank goodness it's spring time now!). I think the pigmentation in this is very good, and it contains a lot of shimmer.
I hope this was a somewhat helpful post! I'm sure if you were interested in the P.F. blush and bronzer, you could find something relatively similar quite easily. I will try to post more consistently, like today! Have a wonderful day everyone! :-)

How I Store My Makeup Brushes!

Hey guys! Today, I wanted to show you all how I store my makeup brushes. I'm sure you have seen something similar, but this was my take on it :
I had a small amount of beads that I had purchased from Walmart a few years ago, and I decided to just put them all together into a glass cup that I had. I think this is so much more unique than the typical beads that people use, and it's also perfect for spring and summer! There are some really bright turquoise beads as well as pink, which are my two favorite colors. I hope you guys enjoyed this short little post! Have a lovely day! :-)

Lip Balm Loves and Hates

So if you didn't know.. I'm obsessed with lip balms. So obsessed that I have about 20 different tubes (which is a lot for me). I wanted to do this post today to quickly tell you what lip balms I'm currently loving as well as the ones that are just really bad. (This is not an in-depth review, those will be coming soon! :D) The lip balm that I have been really really loving is the Nivea lip balm in A Kiss of Milk and Honey. I also really like my Crazy Rumors lip balm in Mocha, and my Maybelline Baby Lips in Quenched. The lip balm ( or butter) that I absolutely hate is the Yes to Carrots C Me Smile lip butter in Berry. I don't know if it's just the tube that I own, the actual formula, or my lips being allergic to the product, but it just dries my lips so much that it becomes very irritating. I will be doing more in depth reviews of all the lip balms I own soon, so be on the lookout for those posts! Thanks for reading! :)

Mini Haul + Free Sample!

Today, I wanted to do a post showing you what I recently picked up at the drugstore as well as my first impressions. I went to CVS to pick up a Neutrogena moisturizer because they were on sale for $9.99 . Originally, I was going to pick up one with a pump, but since they were sold out of the spf 15 moisturizer in the bottle form, I decided I would just get it in the tub form. My first impressions : I really like Neutrogena's simple packaging; no frills but still looks nice. Also, I noticed that the product is NOT thick at all. It's sort of like a lotion consistency, but just a tad thicker. There is no fragrance to it which is nice, and as I said, there's sunscreen! As I was checking out, I noticed a stack of samples of the Nuance by Salma Hayek Raw Honey Shampoo and Conditioner, so I picked one up. Attached to it on the 3rd tri-fold is a $2 off coupon, which I will definitely be using in the near future. :) I also decided to throw in a picture of the free Nivea Soft moisturizing creme that my mom got. There was some coupon that CVS was offering, so I persuaded her to use it and get it for me - hehe! :P That's it for this post...I may do a review on all 3 products soon, but I have yet to use them, and I have so many ideas for new posts! Let's hope I can keep up this one blog post a day thing, because I have so many product reviews and favorites to share! See you guys in my next post! :D
